This is a beach about 30 minutes from Michigan Tech. When the miners dug up all of the copper, they also dug up dirt, and pebbles, lots of them. So with nothing else to do they deposited it along lake superior. This beach is about 3 miles long, and a half mile wide at it's widest point. Truly an endless sea of black sand.
I am a Photographer working out of Houghton, MI. Anyone familiar with Michigan's Upper Peninsula knows that it is a place of natural beauty, full of photographic opportunity. While I live in the UP it is my hope to capture that beauty and improve my photography in the process. I have a love for all types of Photography, and would be happy to do Photography for anyone who has need for it. -- Once I get a proper camera that is.
